Since joining the practice in 1982, Andrew has gained experience at many different levels in a wide range of projects. He has been responsible for the co-ordination of multidisciplinary design teams as co-director on: The Millennium Dome, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, 88 Wood Street and One Hyde Park, in London, Ashford Retail Centre in Kent and the Marine Hotel in Salcombe, Devon and has led teams in major urban regeneration projects in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Southampton, and Wembley.
Andrew has a particular interest in commercial/legal aspects of the practice and is senior commercial director, responsible for negotiating and agreeing RSHP’s appointments, overseeing design management and contract administration and playing a major role in managing the practice.
He promotes the practice’s vision in relation to new methods of procurement and design management. He has sat on a number of industry bodies dedicated to improving the construction industry including the Design and Build Foundation and was a founding member of the Collaboration for the Built Environment. He is the professional practice co-ordinator for 5th Year Architecture Masters students at the Royal College of Art, London.
