RSHP's Oxley Woods housing development in Milton Keynes has received a RIBA special award - The Manser Medal - at the RIBA Stirling Prize Dinner in Liverpool on 11 October.
This year, for the first time, the Manser Medal recognises housing schemes in the UK which demonstrate innovation in design and technology. Previously the award criteria have been limited to one-off houses or extensions. The shortlist was chosen from winners of RIBA Awards and the recipient is awarded £5,000. The Medal was judged by a panel including Michael Manser CBE, former President of the RIBA, Stephen Marshall, Val King and Tony Chapman, RIBA Head of Awards.
This award reflects the diversity of architecture and reward the wide variety of specialist skills involved in delivering good buildings.
