RRP is delighted that the Royal Institue of British Architects has recognised its designs for the National Assembly for Wales (‘Senedd’) with a RIBA Award and for the New Area Terminal of Barajas Airport (Terminal 4) in Madrid with a RIBA European Award for 2006. The RIBA Awards have been running since 1966, and are regarded as the best established scheme for the recognition of excellence in architecture. The 62 RIBA Award winners (54 in the UK and eight in the EU) form the longlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize. The shortlist for the Stirling Prize will be announced on 31 August 2006, and the announcement of the winner will be televised on Channel 4 on 14 October 2006.
