Public City Exhibition
Public City exhibition – New London Architecture at the Building Centre
18 January to 3 March 2007
All over London, new projects for public space improvement are taking place. The spaces between buildings – streets, parks, squares, rivers and stations as well as reception areas, foyers and coffee houses – are as important as the buildings themselves. These spaces will be investigated in Public City, an exhibition which will explore how these spaces work together to reinforce London’s social fabric, and the impact they have on way in which we experience and use the city.
The Leadenhall Building will be featured amongst other recently completed or planned projects across the capital, which have been chosen by New London Architecture as exemplar schemes for their inclusion and treatment of public spaces.
Public City, 18 January to 3 March 2007, at the Building Centre, Store Street, London, WC1E 7BT
