Richard Rogers + Architects Exhibition
RICHARD ROGERS + ARCHITECTS
Exhibition, Pompidou Centre, Paris
21 November 2007 to 3 March 2008
Covering 45 years of the work of Richard Rogers and his various collaborators, ‘Richard Rogers + Architects’ details a wide range of projects with new and archive architectural models, photography, drawings, films and digital animations. The exhibition is arranged around key architectural themes: Legible; Transparent; Lightweight; Systems; Urban; Public and Green. Rogers’ early work and current projects from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners also feature.
Richard Rogers said: “Over 45 years, my colleagues have worked with me to develop an architectural language, born of a fascination with the processes of construction and with the way that people relate to the buildings around them. This language has informed the design of everything from industrial buildings to cultural centres, from the house to the city. ‘Richard Rogers + Architects’ is about this architectural language, about these projects, and about the talented colleagues who have worked with me to make them a reality”.
This major new exhibition forms part of the Pompidou Centre’s 30th anniversary celebrations. For more information visit www.centrepompidou.fr
