The masterplan for Oslo's Bispevika harbour has evolved in response to the proposed tunnelling of the existing motorway which has blighted the area for many years. The catalyst for the redevelopment is the new opera house.
Our proposals carried out in conjunction with Norwegian architects DIVA, focus new development around a new public space linking the city with isolated neighbourhoods.
A new district centre will be created; traffic flows are reorganised around the new 'heart'; green spaces are linked; the waterfront is reconnected to the city; and the extended city grain responds to the sun..
